To the docks! Located across from the Old Key West marina you’ll find the Gurgling Suitcase. This hole in the wall style bar offers a select few bar seats and high top tables, and ties in perfectly with the Key West vibe of the resort. Offering an array of island-style cocktails it’s the perfect place to relax. For many DVC members, this is a hidden gem of a lounge for both the cocktails and appetizers, like the conch fritters. Alright, the time has come to share our at-home Gurgling Suitcase Turtle Krawl recipe!

There’s definitely more than one way to prepare our Gurgling Suitcase Turtle Krawl. Below are a few substitutions, feel free to make adjusts where you see fit. If you’re looking for a less alcohol forward drink you can increase the pineapple and orange juice. The key is to keep it a 1:1 ratio of each.

  • Replace Key Lime juice with regular lime juice
  • Replace Malibu with any coconut flavored rum
  • Replace Myers Dark Rum with any dark rum (our go to is Appleton’s)
  • Replace Castillo Rum with any gold rum

In true Old Key West fashion, we recommend enjoying the cocktail while wearing your favorite tropical shirt or Disney T-Shirt. Trust us, it makes all the difference!
