We’re back! And, we’re back at the Joy of Tea in Epcot’s China Pavilion for this installment of our Disney at home recipes. On our last stop in the pavilion, we create our Tipsy Ducks In Love recipe. This time around we’re sharing our Mango Gingerita recipe. Say it with us, Gingerita! (in a singing voice of course). Alright, enough joking around. Who are we kidding, there are probably more bad dad jokes on the way. No apologies here. Without any further adieu onto our Mango Gingerita Recipe!
Mango Gingerita Recipe
Here is where we usually share the location on the recipe. However, you know the location as we spoke about in our Tipsy Ducks In Love recipe. As a refresher, the Joy of Tea kiosk is located on the World Showcase Lagoon side of the China pavilion, right before the bridge. The drink has been a staple of the menu since 2012. Here is the DVC Duo’s Disney at home Mango Gingerita recipe!
- 1.5 ounces of Vodka
- 1.5 ounces of Light Rum
- 1.5 ounce of mango nectar
- 1/2 fresh squeezed lime
- 1/4 teaspoon of fresh grated ginger
- Fill the shaker halfway with ice
- Add the vodka
- Add the light rum
- Add mango nectar
- Squeeze in 1/2 of a lime
- Grate in fresh ginger, about 1 teaspoon or to taste
- Shake until it’s too cold to hold
- Serve over ice
Let’s spice up our Mango Gingerita recipe, in more ways than one. Fresh ginger definitely has a spicy quality to it. Depending on your preferred level spice you may want to adjust the amount of fresh ginger used in the cocktail. A great way to offset the spice is to increase the amount mango nectar within the drink.
- Vodka can be your favorite (our go to for mixed drinks is Tito’s or Sky)
- Light rum can be your favorite (our favorite for mixed drinks is Appletons)
