It’s the one time of year we’re all Irish, Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Whether you’re looking to hoist a green beer in celebration, or enjoy a hearty plate of bangers and mash, Walt Disney World has something for you. The big question is where would you find the DVC Duo on St. Patrick’s Day at Walt Disney World? We’re glad you asked! Grab your favorite green t-shirt – we’re heading to all our favorite spots to celebrate the holiday!
The Obvious One
No big surprise here, our first spot is over at Raglan Road at Disney Springs. Believe it or not, this is usually our first stop. We like to avoid the crowds and there is no better way to kick-off St. Patrick’s Day than at the best Irish Pub at Walt Disney World. Plus, we usually stay at Saratoga Springs and it’s short walk over.
St. Patrick’s Day is not just one day at Raglan Road, as their Mighty St. Patrick’s Festival goes from March 15th to 17th. The celebration has tons of great things to see from awesome live music, to the Irish Dancers and of course the authentic Irish food. Go with the bangers and mash, trust us on this one. Raglan Road is a great place to kick back with a pint of your favorite and enjoy the festivities.
Passholder Insights: If you’re looking to enjoy the nice whether, check of Cooke’s of Dublin attached to Raglan Road. Same beer selection with a nice patio.
Close Enough To Count
What are we talking about is the UK pavilion at Epcot. We know, we know, the United Kingdom does not include Ireland. However, the pavilion does serve up perfectly poured pints of the good stuff and offers up some delectable food. We’ve always enjoyed heading over to Epcot on St. Patrick’s Day and strolling around World Showcase. You get the feeling of the holiday celebration with tons of country pride, plus there is something for everyone if Irish fair is not their speed.
There are two options for food in the UK pavilion you have Rose & Crown as your sit down restaurant, then Yorkshire County Fish Shop as the quick serve. If you’re looking for a great way to cap off the night check out the Illuminations Dining Package that includes dinner and drinks at Rose and Crown.
Passholder Insights: If the outside beverage stand has a long line, head inside to the Rose & Crown bar. Plus you’ll get the great pub ambience!
From Right Field
If crowds aren’t you speed but you’re still looking for a great pub to enjoy St. Patrick’s Day, head over to the Baseline Tap House. Tucked away in the back of Hollywood Studios is a great bar with a variety of craft beer options from around the US. Granted none are Irish, but isn’t the point of St. Patrick’s Day to enjoy a great time with friends, family, and that random person, soon to be your best friend, wearing a “Kiss Me Irish” shirt? We think so!
With a giant outdoor patio with umbrellas, Baseline Tap House is the perfect place to relax at Hollywood Studios. If you looking for a solid snack we’d recommend the pretzel. Large enough to share, and pairs perfectly with a pint.
Passholder Insights: If beer is not your thing, no worries, as Baseline Tap House does have a few wine and cocktails options.
Whether you’re looking to make the rounds like us, or set-up shop for the day, Walt Disney World has something for everyone. You could even head over to the ESPN Club to catch March Madness. No matter what, don’t forget your green shirt and the craic!
