In a park known for great treats like the Dole Whip and spring rolls, what options do we have when it comes to a full meal? In recent years, we’ve watched the Magic Kingdom up it’s quick-service game. Let’s head out to the house of the mouse to find our top 3 Magic Kingdom quick-service locations.
We have a spot where we know we’ll get a solid meal. In talking about Magic Kingdom quick-service location our old reliable is Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. It’s far from the flashiest of menus, especially if you’re comparing it to the likes of Satu’li Canteen, but a meal you can rely on. Plus, you get to see the one and only Sonny Eclipse. A can’t miss classic Disney experience.
Located in Tomorrowland, Cosmic Ray’s offers a good array of your theme park staples, along with a well made grilled salad. On days we’re looking for a more basic meal you’ll find us here. The restaurant always has ample indoor seating which is perfect for a break from the Florida sun.
Passholder Insights: Mobile ordering is the way to go at Cosmic Ray’s. The lines tend to be longer and we’ve noticed mobile ordering saves a good amount of time.
A Pirate’s Life
By far the less talked about Magic Kingdom quick-service location is Tortuga Tavern. Across the way from Pirates of the Caribbean is the open-air spot offering both shaded and non-shaded dining options. The item to get is the chipotle BBQ short rib. Is this really a theme park quick-service sandwich? The elevated sandwich hits on multiple notes with the spice from the BBQ sauces to tangy crunch of the slaw.
If you’re a hot dog fan, we definitely regarding checking out the all-beef hot dog topped with the same short rib. This Magic Kingdom quick-service is quickly becoming a Nate favorite and DVC Duo hidden treasure.
Passholder Insights: Towards the back of the seating area for Tortuga Tavern you’ll find a great quieter spot for taking a break from the crowds.
Enough said. Ok, we’ll say a few more words. One of the best Magic Kingdom quick-service locations is Pecos Bills Tall, Tale Inn and Cafe in Frontierland. The Tex-Mex inspired menu includes favorites like tacos, fajitas and nachos. The DVC Duo go-to dish is the taco trio with one chicken, one beef, and one pork.
What makes Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe so great is the toppings bar. Pile it on! Filled with all your favorite Mexican toppings you can build your meal into whatever you like. It’s like a second meal when Nate gets done adding all toppings to our tacos. For us, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe is also a great afternoon spot for a snack in the form of build your own nachos!
The quick-service spot has plenty of sitting to go around with both outdoor and indoor options.

More than just snacks! The Magic Kingdom quick-service options continue to improve. A notable classic we did not mention is Casey’s Corner. There is nothing quite like enjoy a hot dog in front of the castle. All this food talk got us hungry. It’s nacho time!
