Grab and go! We’ve rope dropped the Animal Kingdom and now we’re looking for a quick breakfast the Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe. After waking up to ride on the back of banshee or seek out the mythical Yeti, it’s time to refuel for the rest of our day. We need our energy to find that dino. Our breakfast is ready, let’s eat!
Tucked away in the Asia selection of the Animal Kingdom is the Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe. Best known for the sit-down restaurant, Yak & Yeti, the local foods cafe is the quick service location attached to the right of the restaurant when facing the entrance. The outdoor setting has ample amounts of shaded areas, especially during breakfast.
Passholder Insights: You can find additional seating behind the restaurant that tends to a quieter location.
Food is fuel! If you’re like us, every morning is a little different. One day we’ll be craving a large breakfast at Kona Café. Other days we’re looking for a quick bite so we can get in more rides. The Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe is the perfect option for those, grab and let’s go mornings. Our go-to order is the Egg White English muffin. It’s the perfect handheld and relatively healthy breakfast option at the Animal Kingdom.
A toast English muffin is filled with egg whites, tomato and a slice of American cheese. Nothing fancy, just a solid well-prepared breakfast sandwich. The sandwich is served with hash brown bites, similar to hash browns from the infamous golden “M”.
Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe offers up two other breakfast sandwiches that include either bacon or sausage on an egg sandwich. You’ll find the bacon and egg sandwich on challah bread and the sausage served on an English muffin.
Passholder Insights: For a healthier option you can swap out the hash brown bites for a fruit salad for a small upcharge.
Breakfast bowl that is. The signature breakfast at Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe are the two breakfast bowl options. Built on the base of scrambled eggs, potatoes, peppers, onions, and of course, the difference between the two options is with or without breakfast meat. Depending on your morning mood, you can choose between bacon and sausage to be added for your bowl.
The bowls are the perfect choice for those, especially hungry mornings. We’ve got to fuel up for all our walking. This is a good old American style breakfast in a bowl form.
Passholder Insights: Directly across from Yak & Yeti Local Foods Café is a Joffery’s coffee stand that we usually grab a coffee to pair with our meal.
Yak & Yeti Local Foods Café for breakfast is the perfect place for grabbing a quick bite in the morning. The food is standard fare, definitely well prepared. What we like the most about this quick-service location is convenience. We’ve found the lines are usually shorter and give us the option of going with a light bite or a more filling option. Our breakfast is in hand, we’re off to our safari!
