What’s on tap is our Baseline Tap House review! Everything tastes better when it’s on draft and this Hollywood Studios lounge is tapping into this concept. It’s a place you could picture in your backyard, maybe not Andy’s backyard, but definitely California neighborhood. A place where you meet up with friends and family to share the tales of your journey to Batuu, or weaving through traffic on your way to an Aerosmith concert, and even meeting racing legend Lightning McQueen over a beverage of your liking. After dropping the rope this morning we need an adult time out. Let’s take a look at the draft list over at Baseline Tap House!
Is It The Grandest of Locations?
We say yes! Our decision is based on the fact that Baseline Tap House is located on Grand Avenue in Hollywood Studios. If it’s on Grand Ave it has to be a grand location, right? We like to think so. Located on Grand Ave directly across from Muppet Courtyard, Baseline Tap House is easily spotted on your journey to Batuu. Keep an eye out to right for the shaded area with ample amounts of umbrellas and picnic tables to enjoy a drink or two or more. We’re not judging, you’re on vacation!
Passholder Insights: Directly across from the Baseline Tap House is where you’ll find the meet Sorcerer Mickey meet ‘n greet, it’s one of our favorites!
The majority of the seating for Baseline Tap House is outside under the umbrellas. Set-up as a west coast craft beer tasting room, the inside is equipped with a long bar for ordering and enjoying a draft of your choice. Spread around tasting room you’ll find high top tables to gather around for sharing your best Disney stories or kick-off a barroom debate. Is The Nightmare Before Christmas a Halloween or Christmas movie? Ready, debate!
What makes Baseline so comfortable is the laid back feeling of the outdoor seating. It’s perfect for taking a break at Hollywood Studios.
Passholder Insights: Most people head to the first order location when entering the tasting room. Head the far end for the shortest line.
We’ve Earned A Beer
After waking up early and enjoying the park, it’s time to take a few minutes to rest those feet. Pull up a picnic table and enjoy a flight. All the beers at Baseline Tap House have two things in common, they are from California and they are on draft. With about eighteen different beers, there is something for every beer drinker’s desire. For us, we always like to go with a flight, which is made up of four 5 oz pours of the beers of your choice. You can also order individual beers which range from 16 oz to 22 oz pours. What’s great about the flights is the bartenders provide individual cards that describe the flavor notes of your beverage. Can you say free souvenir? That’s right the cards are an item you can with you.
Passholder Insights: The bartenders are very knowledgeable about the beers on tap. If you’re unsure of what you would like they are more than happy to provide insights or comparisons around what each beer tastes like.
Wait, There’s More!
Beyond the draft list, Baseline Tap House is serving everything else on draft as well. Whether it’s a glass of wine, cider or a cocktail, no one leaves without that draft experience. Similar to the beer menu, everything is from California. This is a California tasting room afterall. For anyone looking for a non-alcoholic beverage, there’s Black Cherry Soda on tap or a Wild Strawberry Lemonade.
Passholder Insights: For a wider variety of cocktail options at Hollywood Studios headover to the Brown Derby Lounge where they are serving up classic cocktails.
The Perfect Pairing
What goes great with beer? A pretzel of course! At Baseline Tap House you’ll find a short but effective menu of light bites and shareable snacks. By far the headline is the Bavarian pretzel served with spicy mustard and beer-cheese. The hardest decision to make is which dip is better. We’ll let you debate. In the DVC Duo house, we like to order the California Cheese and Charcuterie Plate. It makes us feel fancy, what can we say. The charcuterie is fantastic for sharing, as there’s plenty to go around. We find the board to be the perfect snack, especially on a warm day.
Passholder Insights: If there’s something on the board you would like to swap out, we recommend asking the bartender. They got you covered.
Love it! Baseline Tap House is one of the newer lounge locations at Hollywood Studios. It’s a fantastic addition to the park. Come mid-afternoon and we need a break from the sun, you’ll find us enjoying a pint. The one thing we left to do is pick out our beers for our flight!
