The Caribbean Beach Resort will always hold a special place in my heart. Growing up it was my family’s
A big part of the updates is the new Old Port Royale area, which is Disney’s themed way of saying the main common area for food and shopping. The new area will include a new table service restaurant called Sebastian’s Bistro. Yes, that same saltly, singing, and dancing lobster from The Little Mermaid, Sebastian.
From Disney’s description the concept sounds amazing, “Located along the Old Port Royale waterfront, Sebastian’s Bistro will feature beautiful views, warm island hospitality and a menu that blends Latin and Caribbean flavors from market-fresh ingredients.” Check out the full announcement at Disney Parks Blog.
With The Caribbean Beach Resort moving to a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) property, I’m expecting the restaurant to be solid. Generally, the restaurants associated to DVC properties offer great meals. From Saana at Kidani Village, to Olivia’s at Old Key West, you can expect a very solid meal. One of our new favorites is Trattoria al Forno at Disney’s BoardWalk, just tried it on a whim in March, glad we did!
We are huge fans of Latin and Caribbean food. There is something about the tropical fruit flavors, mixed with heady, bold spices that get our taste buds tingling! Personally, I’m hoping the menu has jerk chicken and maybe a conch fritter or two. Fingers crossed we can try it out on our December trip.
Pro Tip – Keep an eye on Dining section of the My Disney Experience App, many times I’ve been able to get a table at new restaurant before the official announcement.
